Alright, fellow sports moms, let's talk about something that's always on our minds when we travel for our kids' sports tournaments - keeping them busy in the hotel! I don't know about you, but it can be tough to keep kids entertained and occupied when we're cooped up in a hotel room. But fear not, I've got some creative ideas to help keep your youth sports team busy and having fun, even when they're off the field.

  1. Game Night Who doesn't love a good game night? Bring along some classic board games, like Monopoly or Scrabble, or try some new ones like Bananagrams or Cranium. You can even bring some snacks to munch on while you play.

  2. DIY Crafts Get the creative juices flowing with some DIY crafts. Bring along supplies like beads, yarn, and paper, and encourage the kids to create their own bracelets, bookmarks, or origami. You could even set up a mini art station with some paint and canvases.

  3. Scavenger Hunt A scavenger hunt is a fun way to explore the hotel and keep the kids entertained. You could create a list of items for them to find, or make it a photo scavenger hunt, where they have to take pictures of specific things around the hotel.

  4. Movie Night Sometimes, all you need is a good movie to keep the kids entertained. Bring along some DVDs or pick something from the hotel's movie selection, and let the kids relax with some popcorn and candy.

  5. Pool Time If the hotel has a pool, take advantage of it! Let the kids swim and play pool games like Marco Polo or Sharks and Minnows. Just make sure to keep an eye on them and enforce any hotel pool rules.

  6. Talent Show Encourage the kids to show off their skills with a mini talent show. They could perform a skit, sing a song, or do a magic trick. You could even provide some props or costumes to help them get into character.

  7. Fitness Challenge Keep the kids active with a fitness challenge. Set up a mini obstacle course in the hotel room or hallway, or do a group workout like yoga or Zumba.

So there you have it, sports moms! Keeping your youth sports team entertained and having fun in the hotel doesn't have to be a daunting task. With some creativity and a few supplies, you can make the most of your hotel stay and keep the kids busy and happy. Just remember to have fun and enjoy the journey!
